Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
Snap tough ends off of each stalk of asparagus
Wash off the asparagus
Lay out on a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper
Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus, but don't drown it
Sprinkle freshly ground salt and pepper over the stalks
Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, the asparagus should still be a little crunchy and not soggy
