Sutherland is one of the newer subdivisions in Prospect. Located off of US 42, Sutherland is easily recognized by it’s distinctive lakes buffering the front of the subdivision from traffic on Brownsboro Road, with a fountain in the middle of each lake. Almost immediately across US 42 from Sutherland is Hunting Creek, another very well know, but older, subdivision in Prospect. Also in fairly close proximity is Hillcrest, a newer subdivision, but further out of town and into Oldham County.
Sutherland contains about 300 homes, give or take, just about all of them made of brick and with basements. In addition, there is a community pool and clubhouse. Built in the mid to late 1990′s, many of the homes in Sutherland are now undergoing some form of cosmetic remodel, to make their kitchens and bathrooms a bit more modern. The homes that have not yet done their remodeling typically sell for less on the market, but are still available.
Homes For Sale in Sutherland
As a real estate agent who is active in Prospect, I often find myself in or close to Sutherland. And since I also carry a camera with me just about all of the time, I sometimes slow down on my trips and take pictures of a few homes that strike my fancy. As I just mentioned, I am often driving through the area, and with my video camera by my side, why not take the time to share a bit of the neighborhood? So here is just a really short video of a quick trip around Sutherland, nothing fancy, but enough to give you an idea of what kind of homes are located here.
