Northfield is a subdivision just outside of the Watterson Expressway, on the east side of Louisville, on the Brownsboro Road corridor. Only a few minutes further out of town than Mockingbird Valley or Indian Hills, but closer than The Woods of St. Thomas and Glenview, which is a neighboring subdivision.
Built around the 1960′s, this area was hit very hard by the infamous 1974 tornado that tore through parts of Louisville. In addition, this community is considered to be quite affluent, with a reported median income above $80,000.
