I’m not sure if I’m insane, or on the verge of a brilliant family addition, or maybe both! But this past weekend, we added a puppy to our family, Napoleon The Newfypoo, a cross between a Poodle and a Newfoundland.
Our intent was to find a large dog, non-drooling and non-shedding, that might end up on the low energy side once we make it through his puppy phase. We’ll see.
Right now, he’s still getting used to our home, as we are getting used to having him in ours, and I’m sure a lot of growing pains are in store for everybody. But right now, he looks to be bonding very quickly and very well with the children in the house, which obviously is the primary driver behind the whole idea of a new puppy.
Here is a picture of a Paleo Muffin that is suitable for breakfast (or dessert), made with coconut flour and almond flour. I’m still not sold on the benefits of working with almond flour, it’s pretty caloric and high in poly unsaturated fats, both of which I am trying to avoid. However, I am also trying to avoid wheat for a month or so, just to see if it makes any difference in my weight, and overall health.
